“The physical archive.
Organised digitally.”
In an archive, documents belong to boxes, and boxes occupy precise places on the shelves. The operator needs to know what is stored, how the records are grouped and where the material they are looking for can be found.
We built connected web and mobile tools, starting from the real structure of the archive and from the daily workflows.
“We modelled the way people work with the archive.”
Structured registration
The archive's information becomes organised records, completed step by step and validated, which operators enter and consult the same way every time.
Physical organisation represented in software
The warehouse is described through racks, shelves, pallets and capacity. This structure gives the context needed to locate the material.
Identification and retrieval
Search, filters and QR codes for boxes and locations link the digital record to the practical work in the warehouse.
“From data entry to working with the inventory.”
Excel import and export
Existing inventories enter the system from Excel files, for working with large sets of records.
Web for structured work
The web interface gives room for tables, filters and record-keeping operations.
Mobile, away from the desk
Each client's inventory, grouped by box, in a format suited to work in the warehouse.
We connected the archive's data model, its physical organisation and the different interaction needs in one coherent web and mobile product.
“Do you have a physical process that needs a clear digital record?”
